We all have heard since our childhood the famous saying “Health is Wealth”. When we really think seriously, we have to admit that, our health is really the invaluable wealth. When we are in good health, we are wealthy in all respects, we can work, we can earn and enjoy everything around us but, once we get ill, neither we are able to earn nor we are able to enjoy anything in our life. Instead of getting wealthy we spend our hard earned money and also the precious time.
Once we get any disease, our whole routine is disturbed we cannot lead our life in a smooth way. We get trapped in the vicious cycle of the disease and treatment. Along with, the sick person the whole of the family becomes sick mentally and later on it starts disturbing the life of our family in all respect. We lose much of our time, money, mental peace etc.
There is no cure for death but the aim of each and every system of medicine is to lessen and remove the suffering of the people so that everyone can enjoy good health till their last breath. All the systems of medicine are engaged in helping the suffering persons with the different means they have. All the systems have a common goal; they all should work together as complimentary to each other. Living with nature is natural life but living on medicines is artificial life.
The importance of Scientists, Researchers, Doctors and other persons engaged in Medical Profession
The modern medical science has done tremendous work, which no one can deny, in studying the functioning of different parts of the body, effects of various matters on the body and mind. It has also strived to find out the causes and effects of various ailments that our body suffers and also formulated the medicines for their cure. T
he scientists have been working day out and night for the betterment of our lives. It is always better to reach the experts and hospitals in emergency cases like injuries, breathlessness, chest pains, poisoning of any type including drugs, food, bites of poisonous insects and animals, accidents, and the cases which require immediate surgery and intensive care etc. These cases are best managed by qualified doctors and hospitals as they have the required infrastructure and expertise to handle these cases.
Each and everything in this world is controlled by the almighty “GOD”, the entity which is believed and known by the human beings world over by different names, in different religions. In spite of this, whenever we fall ill we first of all turn to the science for the cure, but when the science also seems to fail, we finally turn to the almighty GOD.
This means that the science has become more important than the almighty. We give special importance to the doctors and all the persons engaged in the medical systems. These persons have chosen such a career which is really very noble one. They serve the ailing humanity while they earn their livelihood. They really deserve our appreciation.
The reasons for various illnesses
We all have moved away from the nature and leading artificial life this is the main cause for the majority of our illness. There are various reasons for our illnesses such as unnatural living, eating, working conditions and habits, lack of hygiene, unscientific disposal of different waste materials etc. Hereditary diseases and contagious diseases are self explanatory. The excessive use of chemicals in our food by way of fertilisers, pesticides, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours, excessive use of chemical cosmetics and medicines, highly increasing environment pollution levels caused by industries and automobiles, have caused havoc in our lives.
The health, disease and treatment have been running side by side since the start of life on earth. At different times the man and animals on this earth have been subjected to various ailments. The variety of illness has been increasing day by day though the scientists have been working day and night to find out the diseases, their causes and the treatments.
Though it is claimed the life expectancy has increased but the lifespan of an average person is reducing day by day. Previously, people used to live up to the age of 90 to 100 years without any medications but, nowadays, people start getting various illnesses at young age and hardly cross 60 to 65 years of age even though they are given medicines since the start of their lives inside the mother’s womb.
